Curing compounds are liquid membrane-forming coatings sprayed onto fresh concrete to retain moisture during hydration and reduce surface cracking and dusting. They are used on slabs, pavements, and structural concrete to promote proper strength development, and may be resin- or wax-based per ASTM C309 or C1315.
